When you dine or lunch in our beautiful intimate bistro you’ll enjoy an ambience found nowhere else in the area. With candle light, big band sounds forming a wonderful backdrop as you relax on comfortable tartan clad seating you can enjoy a really atmospheric experience. Our bistro is a dog free area and offers cosy booths or bigger tables. It is also the perfect place to come together with a large group of family or friends.

Our bar dining area is all olde worlde ambience with old fashioned beams and a roaring fire in cooler months. It is very dog friendly, so why not bring your pooch along too? The bar area and Burns Room to the rear are very cosy and laid back. It is easy to spend a few happy hours in here, chatting with other customers, enjoying the interesting and aspirational product range and tucking into some tasty fayre

Times have changed since dogs were persona non grata in most dining establishments.
Here at Moffat’s oldest inn however, we have always been more than happy to welcome your four legged friends. Here they are not a problem but a pleasure and can dine with their humans in the comfort of our cosy bar area. What’s more, we even have our own Doggy Dinners menu just for him!
We offer dedicated menus for gluten free diners and vegans/vegetarians. Diners with specific dietary needs or preferences can also be catered for. Please notify us of these ahead of your booking.
